ADAMOVIC, Lujo (Rovinj, Croatia 1886 – Dubrovnik, 1935) – a well-known phytogeographer from the beginning of ⅩⅠⅩ v., Who studied flora and vegetation on the Balkan Peninsula. His monograph "Diet Vegetation Conservation" is a major part of the flora and vegetation of the Balkan countries, among them for Macedonia. It makes an attempt for horizontal and vertical zoning of vegetation on the Balkan Peninsula and introduces some new vegetative terms (pseudomacia). Vl. M. Mirce Adamchevski
